Registration & Fees
The institute is limited to 60 registrants,
first-come, first-served.
Tuition fee for the July, 2008, SATW
Digital Travel Photography Institute is $300 for the general public,
or $150 for students at accredited colleges or universities.
Cancellations incur a $30 fee at any time and there will be no refunds
after Friday, July 11, 2008.
The fee includes:
— Admission to the receptions
and dinner on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings
— instruction during sessions
on Friday, Saturday and Sunday
— Most meals: continental
breakfasts, break snacks, a box lunch, German Fest coupon Friday and
two dinners (Thursday dine around and Saturday dinner); you are responsible
for lunch during your Saturday shoot-out.
Lodging and transportation
are not included in the tuition fee, and are the responsibility of registrants
on their own.
Lodging at the Doubletree host hotel
and at Marquette University’s Straz Tower is encouraged for the sake
of convenience, but is not required.
The annual SATW Institute for Travel
Writing and Photography is presented by the Society of American Travel
Writers (www.satw.org) in cooperation with VISIT Milwaukee;
the Department of Journalism, Marquette University http://www.marquette.edu); Coalition for Photographic
Arts (www.copamilwaukee.com); the Milwaukee chapter of the Society
of Professional Journalists (www.spjmilwaukee.org) and the Milwaukee Press Club (www.milwaukeepressclub.org), among others.
